Salop Amateur Radio Society held their VHF Field Day contesting event in Oswestry this weekend 4 & 5 July 2026.

The club used the callsign G3SRT/P.

The event was located at high altitude, about 335 metres ASL with a fantastic visual outlook, particularly to towards the south.

The various VHF directional antennas allowed the Salop ARS team to bypass the degraded HF conditions entirely over the weekend.
